Ice, ice baby

The parish courtyard fountain this morning.
The thermometer read 27 degrees at 7:30 a.m.

What happens when the fountain freezes over?

A thoroughly modern title to your post. Didn't I see you on YouTube, singing a few bars?

It's a sign!

I vowed to begin the Counter Reformation when this fountain froze over.

Brush the dust off that chapel veil!

No chapel veil.

Just learned from my teenager that the wearing of a veil by a woman is indicative of her being below males in society.

To paraphrase one of your readers earlier comments about your fesitvial: I'm not wearing no stinking veil.

I will, however, wish you the very best success in your efforts with the Counter Reformation. And really, do have a lovely day.

That which is most holy is veiled.

I thought wearing a chapel veil was for covering your beautiful hair during Mass, so you would not distract Men--either way--being most holy or having most beautiful hair--I guess I don't qualify.

I think bald men -- whose heads have a particular gleam -- should wear chapel veils so the glare won't blind the congregation.
